(Events listed below are subject to change based on current board + auxiliary + current membership decisions)

Recreation Events

Below are some examples of the recreational events that may be planned each year.  Most are hosted at a member’s house and some include more than just members (i.e. couples or families).  These events are not required to attend but are available to socialize with other members.  These events are subject to change based on interest and availability of members. 

1. SEPTEMBER:  Kick Off Party
   • Members only – this is the start of the year party to celebrate the end of summer and the start of our new year together.

2. OCTOBER:  Halloween Party
   • Couples – this is a dress up party for members (spouses welcome too)
   • Members and Kids – moms and kids get together to celebrate Halloween 

3. DECEMBER:  Christmas Party
   • Members only – this is a party to celebrate the holidays.  

4. JANUARY:  PJ Bunco
   • Members only – this is a bunco party where everyone wears pajamas to a member’s house to play Bunco.

5. FEBRUARY:  Valentine’s Party
   • Members and Kids – moms and kids get together to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

6. MARCH/APRIL: TBD, either a fun member event or a couples event

7. APRIL:  Easter Egg Hunt
   • Members and Kids – go on an Easter egg hunt with your kids for candy and treats!

8. MAY:  Scavenger Hunt
   • Couples – team up to form scavenger hunt teams.  Clues will be given for all around Batavia – the team with the most points wins.   

9. MAY:  Banquet
   • Members only – end of the year party where we say good-bye to the old Board and Committee Chairs and welcome the new.  

10. JUNE:  Pool Party
    • Members and kids – one gracious member with a pool hosts this event – a good end of school year celebration.

11. JULY/AUG – Kane County Cougars Game
    • Families – we reserve a section of seats for members and their families to watch the Kane County Cougars play baseball.  We usually pick a themed night at the park when they have fireworks
