FROM THE PRESIDENT – Beth Feller
Wow, I can’t believe the year is winding down! It has been a great year and what a way to end it, with an amazing Fox Trot and our annual disbursements. Thank you to Margie and Kim, their committee members and the whole club for all your hard work, dedication and support for Fox Trot. We can’t seem to get a break with the weather, but it was still a great success! I am sure you are all looking forward to hearing about the fantastic results at Wednesday’s meeting. It is going to be an information- packed meeting, so please make sure you come and celebrate a job well done. As always, if you can’t be there, please let Pam and I know. It has been an honor to be the President of the BMCF and I am so fortunate to be a part of such a great group of women. See you all Wednesday!
PAST PRESIDENT – Jennifer Meiring
Mother’s Day is coming up, and you know what every mom wants – a BMCF Cookbook!! At just $5 each, you could get one for all of the moms in your life – your mom, mother-in-law, aunts, grandmas, etc. See me at the meeting…I’ll have a stack of them to sell!
Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to be a committee chair for next year! We’ve got a great group of women ready to lead the club!

Committee sign up will happen at the May meeting. Make sure you have emailed me your top 3 choices if you won’t be there. Sign up is based on points. Person with the most points chooses first, etc. Old Board/New Board will be on May 21st at my house at 7pm. We will have about an hour where you will meet with your predecessor or the person taking over your position for some training, vote on next year’s budget and then the old board will leave and we will have our first meeting as a brand new board!! See you at Banquet!
PHILANTHROPIC – Erica Vale
It’s time for our annual disbursement meeting! On Wednesday, we will remind you why we stand in the rain for Fox Trot and work our butts off for Craft Show! You will see where the money goes and hear about the charities that we support.
Share and Care will collect diapers and wipes for Wayside Ministries Shelter residents.
WAYS AND MEANS – Ann Moeller
We have one last fundraiser this year. Please support BMCF and take your kids to see Steel Beam Theatre’s performance of Rapunzel on Saturday June 2nd at 10:30am. Tickets are currently on sale, with about half purchased already. We would love to sell all the tickets so please ask friends and family as well. Tickets will be $12 each and BMCF benefits 100% from the money collected. It you have any questions or would like to buy a ticket, please ask myself or Jenny Mareska. This will be a fun activity and we hope to see you all there!
COMMUNICATIONS – Christy Kulczycki
We did some updating to our website this past month to make the site more secure and fix some formatting issues. When that was updated, some links stopped functioning. Most of those have been resolved. I appreciate everyone’s patience on getting our new website up and working smoothly!
FOX TROT – Kim Vieu and Margie Goliak
Fox Trot just wants to say thanks to everyone for their hard work! Our committee was so dedicated and wonderful. Everyone contributed, and we should all be proud of the results!
CRAFT SHOW – Holly Miller and Anita Stevenson
- Business cards are in. We will pass them around at the meeting. Please take a few to give to potential crafters. Please also continue to help us scout for potential crafters throughout the summer.
- Please start saving boxes for raffle. Diaper boxes and small Amazon boxes work great to wrap and use for raffle “baskets.” Also, if you have any wrapping supplies (paper, ribbons, bows, etc…) or any cute baskets that you are not going to use, please consider donating to the raffle committee so they can make some awesome raffle baskets.
- We will be placing “Calling all Crafters” signs in the crafter’s corners of the local craft store (Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnne Fabrics), and also some of the coffee shops and grocery stores in the area in an attempt to attract more crafters. Please let us know if you have any great ideas about other places to post these signs.
- Please continue to think about local businesses that may be willing to give an in-kind donation for either raffle or lunch, and let us know if you come across a business owner who seems agreeable to the idea.
- Most of the craft show subcommittees will do the bulk of their work in the summer and very early fall. Please check your email frequently for communications from your subcommittee chairs, and expect to be contacted about meeting with your subcommittee soon. If you have not been contacted by your subcommittee chair by July 1st, please contact them directly, or contact Anita or Holly to be sure you are getting the communications. If you have forgotten which subcommittee you signed up for, please let us know. Just a reminder, the subcommittee chairs are: Jenni Robinson – Apps and Jury, Mary Baffes – lunch, Kendra Walker – Bake Sale, Angie Costello – Signs and Posters, and Andrea Lukas – Raffle.
- We have listed our show on www.festing.com. The next time you are online, please visit this website and rate our show. Feel free to leave a glowing comment as well
COMMUNITY RELATIONS – Meg Kardelis
The Loyalty Day Parade is Sunday May 6th at 1:30pm. This is a fun event and we’re hoping to have many of our members come out to walk in the parade. There will be a sign-up sheet for everyone interested in participating at the May meeting. Our last Community Relations event for the year is volunteering to help sign children up for the library’s Summer Reading Program. We will have a sign-up sheet for this as well at the meeting.
